On March 26, 1921, the fishing and racing schooner Bluenose launched off the coast of Nova Scotia. Over the course of the next 17 years, she would own these waters, championed in the racing world and beloved in Canadian history and lore. Now, the Bluenose Centennial Tribute Proof Collection pays homage to this Canadian treasure in a first-of-its-kind tribute exclusively from The Bradford Exchange.

Intended as collector\'s items, each commemorative Proof in this collection is offered in coveted Proof condition and richly plated in 99.9% silver. On the front of each Proof collectible is an archival image of the maritime legend, expertly printed in sepia tones for a vintage look. Better still, the Issue One coin features a capsule of actual sand from the shore in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, where the Bluenose launched in 1921, thanks to an innovative process that allows the coin to be adorned with genuine sand. On the back of Issue One is a custom-designed image of the Bluenose along with her name and the year of her launch a century ago. Plus, each Proof arrives sealed in a crystal-clear capsule for lasting preservation, and the included Display Box is an ideal way to show off your entire collection.

Proofs measure 3.8 cm in diameter; display box measures 18.5 cm L x 14.5 cm D

Design subject to change.
