In October of 1957 Queen Elizabeth II visited Canada for the first time, officially opening the flat session of the 23rd Parliament. Her four days in Ottawa left her with an impression that endures to this day, that Canada is a "wonderful and exhilarating country." Each of the coins in this collection is issued by Tristan du Cuhna, approved by Buckingham Palace and presented in Brilliant Uncirculated Condition. Each coin is plated with 24K gold and custom printed with a full-colour historical image of Queen Elizabeth II along with her ERII cypher on the reverse, and Her Majesty's portrait appears on the obverse.
