The 1993 Stanley Cup® Final marked the 100th anniversary of the first awarding of the greatest trophy in sports, so it’s only fitting that one of the two teams competing was the Montreal Canadiens®, the franchise with the most championships in NHL® history. Things didn’t start well for the Habs®, who lost Game 1 to the Los Angeles Kings® and were trailing late in Game 2 before a costly penalty turned the tide. Winning three straight overtime thrillers, the Canadiens® finished it with a convincing Game 5 victory to win the series 4 games to 1, claiming the 24th Stanley Cup® title in team history.

In honour of the Habs® unforgettable championship—the last by a Canadian franchise to date—The Bradford Exchange presents the 1993 Montreal Canadiens® Championship Proof Coin, a highly-collectible proof crafted with brilliant 99.9% fine silver plating and full colour accents. The obverse presents both teams’ official logos in colour, along with a hockey stick motif and the 4 games to 1 result of the 1993 Final. The reverse features The Habs® logo in gleaming silver-plating, along with two smaller images of the Stanley Cup®. The Proof arrives sealed in a tamper-proof capsule.
