Proof quality coining dies create the coins\' polished, mirror-like fields and raised, frosted imagery. The front of each coin features a portrait of Princess Diana in selective full colour along with a 24K gold-plated privy mark featuring her monogram, \"D\", and the years of her life below. The back of each coin features a sculpted portrait of Diana and the words: \"THE PEOPLE\'S PRINCESS ALWAYS IN OUR HEARTS\".
