Launching out of Nova Scotia in March, 1921, the Bluenose quickly became one of Canada’s most legendary symbols of national pride. This historic racing schooner would persevere over the next 17 years, commanding attention and dominating the competition wherever she sailed. Now, the shining glory of this champion is celebrated as never before in the custom-crafted “Bluenose” Photo Mint. This bold limited edition photo mint features a celebratory image of the Bluenose racing through the sea. The hand-numbered, high-gloss photo of the historic vessel at full sail is presented under glass in a sleek black frame surrounded by a striking sky-blue matting. An eye-catching schematic of the vessel is presented in the centre of the photo mint, offering a historic interpretation of its history-making specifications. A specially-released Canadian 10-cent coin that was released in 2021 to honour the Bluenose’s 100-year anniversary is showcased in the lower left, alongside its minting specifications, including the official number of the print within the edition limit of 450, for the perfect finishing touch.
